The Innovation Career Day is the largest career related event organized by Subliem. This annual event is the opportunity for our members to get in touch with a wide range of innovative companies from different industries, mainly the Life Science sector and the Renewable Energy sector. The event consists of an interactive career fair with lunch. In addition, there is a combination of workshops, seminars and business cases to challenge our members with different issues. The free interaction between business representatives and students allows both parties to ask each other questions and expand their horizons. This can also be done in a slightly less formal way at the networking event, which will take place afterwards.

Just like the ICD, the Analytics & Innovation Career Fair is an interactive career fair with lunch in combination with workshops, seminars and business cases. However, this event is organized together with SABA, the Business Analytics study association at the VU. This event therefore focuses on innovation sciences, big data and cybersecurity. What makes the AICF special is that the usually creative entrepreneurial students of Science, Business & Innovation are joined up with the “data-driven” students of Business Analytics. Both types of students are indispensable for the digital world we live in today and tomorrow. At the AICF there is also a networking drink afterwards, where participants can get to know each other in a more informal way.

The Consultancy Day is a career day with a focus on interactive workshops and business cases. Last year this event was organised together with 2 other study associations: SV Helix, the study association for innovation management and science at Utrecht University, and SV Intermate, the study association of the Bachelor Technical Innovation Sciences, the Majors Sustainable Innovation and Psychology & Technology and the Masters Human Technology Interaction and Innovation Sciences. This event focuses on Consultancy. All associations are science associations, so the focus is on technology, life sciences and ICT. At the Consultancy Day there is also a networking drink afterwards where networking can take place in a more informal way.

Entrepreneurship is in Subliem's blood. The entrepreneurial spirit does not come out of nowhere. In the relatively short existence of the association, many successful companies have already emerged. These companies range from innovative tech start-ups and consultants to even a few clothing lines. This once again proves that our members are at home in all markets and seize their chances.

From an early age I have always been an entrepreneurial type; from selling candy in the schoolyard to a Beerpong company to an Italian delicacy import company. Just try, go by your gut and see what happens was my motto. During SBI I learned to look at entrepreneurship and innovation as a science, just like exact science: theory & a structured approach! For me, this toolkit enables future successes.

Entrepreneurship runs in the blood of Subliem. The characteristic of entrepreneurship does not come out of the blue, of course. Many successful companies have already emerged in the relatively short existence of Subliem. These companies range from innovative tech startups, consultants and even a number of clothing lines. This shows that our members are at home in all markets and are seizing their opportunities. Entrepreneurship is also stimulated by Subliem through the ConnecCie, where our members go through a constructive process with the aim of starting their own business.
